Rock the Vermont Vote
Yes, every vote counts! So, you're not a Vermonter but go to school here? Did you know that you can still register to vote in Vermont? You're a Vermonter but just haven't gotten around to getting registered? What are you waiting for?!
Visit your local Town Clerk or City Hall to register in person. Remember, you need to register to vote by October 30th in order to vote on November 7th! Visit the Vermont Secretary of State's office (this is a link if you can't see to the secretary of state's office) for more information about local polling places, ballots, and general information!.
It is an absolutely critical time for every American to understand what's happening with our government, and to do their part to make things better by voting good people into office this November.
More important, the Vermont Governor's race is the most important race in this state this year because the Governor's office impacts the daily lives of every Vermonter and directly impacts policy-making in the state. The next Governor of Vermont will be making decisions on the status of renewable energy, fair funding for education, affordable housing, protection of the environment and growing jobs. Scudder will work hard to lead on each of these issues.
The current Governor supports the war in Iraq, vetoed civil rights legislation and supports nuclear power as an option for addressing our energy crisis. We cannot afford two more years of the current Governor!
